Study Policy
- Students are encouraged to commit to a minimum of two hours of lessons per week, unless otherwise agreed with Edu-Bees and their tutor.
- Students are expected to stay engaged during lessons and follow tutor guidance.
- Students should bring the required learning materials (stationery, books, or digital devices) to each session.
- For secondary and higher-level courses (e.g., GCSE, A-Level, IB), students should have access to the necessary resources such as calculators or subject-specific tools.
- Recommended textbooks and resources suggested by tutors are the responsibility of the student/parent to obtain.
- Respectful behaviour towards tutors and peers is required at all times.
Attendance Policy
- Students should attend all scheduled lessons.
- If a student cannot attend a lesson for reasons unrelated to health, at least 24 hours’ notice must be given via phone, email, or message.
- In cases of illness, parents/students should notify Edu-Bees or the tutor as soon as possible. Where notice has been given, no lesson fees will be charged.
- Students must join lessons on time.
- Missed lessons without notification will be charged at the full rate.
Performance Policy
- Edu-Bees aims to help each student achieve their best possible results. Success depends on the student’s effort and commitment, supported by parents where appropriate.
- Homework, practice, and revision assigned by tutors are compulsory.
- Progress will be monitored regularly, and feedback provided to parents/guardians.
- Students preparing for exams (SATs, 11+, 13+, GCSE, A-Level, IB, or university entrance) must commit to consistent study.
- Edu-Bees and its tutors will provide guidance and support to help students reach their goals, but ultimate responsibility for results rests with the student’s own effort.
Fees Policy
- Tuition fees must be paid in advance at the start of each block of lessons.
- A one-time registration/administration fee may apply.
- Fees vary depending on subject, tutor level, and course type.
- Discounts may apply for advance payment of larger lesson packages.
Refund Policy
- Paid tuition fees are non-refundable and non-transferable to other students.
Holidays
- Edu-Bees operates year-round, including during holiday periods, depending on tutor and student availability.
- Students/parents may opt out of lessons during holidays without penalty if notice is given in advance.
- If Edu-Bees or the tutor needs to cancel sessions during holidays, reasonable notice will be provided.
Child Health & Safety Policy
- Students are responsible for bringing their own food and drink (for in-person sessions).
- Parents are responsible for their child’s overall health and safety. During in-person sessions, Edu-Bees tutors will take all reasonable steps to ensure student safety.
- Parents must inform Edu-Bees and tutors of any relevant medical conditions or special needs that could affect learning or well-being.
